Video: NSS Employee Can Use Force and Weapons, Says Nikol Pashinyan
“I have not seen what happened, but when a member of the National Security Service sees that their protected individual is in danger, they can strike, can use force, and in acute situations, can use weapons,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a briefing with journalists, responding to a comment regarding the security employee who hit a young man during an incident at a church and faced no charges.
“The National Security Service employee is there to use force when there is a situation. They have all the powers. If they fail to do their job, then a criminal case may be initiated against them, and they could end up in prison for not fulfilling their duties. And when anyone acts, they are not checking whether the individual is 18 years old, has health issues, or other problems,” Pashinyan added.
