Human Rights Defender Representatives Meet with Davit Minasyan

Representatives of the Human Rights Defender visited the "Armavir" Penitentiary to meet with Davit Minasyan.

By the order of the Human Rights Defender, on April 2, representatives visited the "Armavir" Penitentiary to meet with Davit Minasyan, who is detained in connection with the incident at the Surb Anna Church.

They had a private conversation with the individual, reviewed documents, and discussed raised issues, including those related to ensuring medical supervision.

Special attention was also given to ensuring the right to education.

At the same time, the Human Rights Defender reiterated that detention should only be applied when alternative measures are inadequate, and its misuse can undermine public confidence in the justice system.
