Good News for Taxi Drivers: Avanesyan Elaborates

The Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan has proposed that starting from 2027, individuals engaged in passenger transport via electronic platforms be included as beneficiaries of universal health insurance.

"We are talking about taxi drivers. This has been proposed by them. The next group will be those individuals who, from January 1, 2027, will be able to include their connected persons in the system as already insured," stated Anahit Avanesyan.

Prime Minister Pashinyan, addressing the issue of universal health insurance, stated, "We have not had any reform that has had such a rapid and extensive response. We have reached a situation where the state sits at the bedside of a person with health issues as a relative."

Taxi drivers will also become beneficiaries of universal health insurance.
