300,000 Drams Transferred for Karapetyan's Trial and Participation in Protests, Investigative Committee Reveals
Fact-finding data has been obtained regarding a case of material inducement of former administrative head of the village of Hovk, S.K., by the head of the Dilijan community office of the NGO "Preservation of National Values in Our Way." This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
Specifically, in January 2026, former administrative head of Hovk, G.G., registered through Facebook as a program implementation specialist in the mentioned NGO. Subsequently, he was directed to go and meet with L.V., head of the NGO’s Dilijan community office, to familiarize himself with further actions.
Following the instructions, G.G. met with L.V. in January and learned that he had been employed at the NGO’s Dilijan community office but was not expected to perform any work. Instead, he was to participate in S.K.'s court sessions and other actions related to the "Our Way" movement. In exchange, an amount of 204,000 AMD was transferred to a bank card opened in his name on February 11, and 300,000 AMD on March 10.
During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case, public criminal prosecution was initiated against L.V. under the second part of Article 236 of the Criminal Code (obstructing or coercing to hold or participate in a gathering, as well as materially inducing for the purpose of participating or refusing to participate in a gathering).
L.V. was arrested on April 2. During the preliminary investigation, searches were conducted at the office and the residence of the head, resulting in the discovery of notebooks regarding the 2018 elections, containing information about citizens’ names, surnames, and party affiliations. Other items significant to the criminal case were also seized during the searches. The investigation continues.
