VIDEO: Zakharova's Statement on Hybrid Threats
Russia is ready to cooperate with Armenia in combating "hybrid threats." This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a press briefing, in response to a question from Sputnik Armenia.
According to her, Russia has the necessary tools and experience that can be applied to counter such challenges. At the same time, it was emphasized that such cooperation requires mutual interest and bilateral engagement.
Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that Yerevan does not rule out the application of Russian expertise in the fight against "hybrid threats." In response to this statement, Zakharova noted that the Russian side is ready to respond should there be relevant interest.
The discussion particularly pertains to ensuring information security and combating cybercrime, including cyber fraud, where, according to the Russian side, there is potential for cooperation.
