New Mandatory Conditions for Construction Sites in Yerevan

The Yerevan City Council has established additional conditions for ongoing construction projects in Yerevan.

According to the new regulations, in construction sites of risk levels 4 and 5, developers are required to install irrigation cannons and/or other irrigation equipment for every 500 square meters of underground construction, ensuring a sprinkling range of at least 40 meters during soil works.

Moreover, the construction site must maintain a minimum of 8% relative humidity in the top 1 cm layer of soil using irrigation equipment.

It is required that sand, cement, gypsum, gravel, and other granular materials be stored in closed containers or packaging, and their transportation must be conducted using dust-protected, closed or covered vehicles.

This decision has come into effect from March 2, 2026. In case of violations of the established requirements by developers, legal consequences will be applied as stipulated by the law.
