Erdogan Blames Israel for Conflict Surrounding Iran
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Israel holds primary responsibility for the ongoing conflict surrounding Iran. He made this remark during a session of the ruling Justice and Development Party in the country’s parliament.
Erdogan emphasized that the Israeli government is accountable for the military actions that have heightened tensions in the region and imposed an economic burden on the entire world. In his view, the situation constitutes an illegal war that exacerbates the crisis.
The Turkish president also noted that every drop of blood shed during this conflict, in his opinion, contributes to the political survival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
At the same time, Erdogan stressed that Ankara is in favor of a quick and peaceful resolution to the crisis surrounding Iran. He stated that Turkey aims to stay out of the conflict and will continue to exert efforts toward establishing stability and peace in the region.
