The Armenian Community in Iran Suffers Its First Casualty: Aram Shahnazaryan
The editor-in-chief of the Armenian newspaper "Alic" in Iran, Aram Shahnazaryan, has informed "Pastinfo" that on March 26, a resident of Nor Jugha, Hovhannes Simonian, was killed in his office. He died as a result of the American-Israeli bombing.
It is noteworthy that on the morning of February 28, the United States and Israel began striking Iran. The country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Abdulrahim Mousavi, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Mohammad Pakpour, and Secretary of the Supreme Defense Council Ali Shamkhani were killed. A 40-day mourning period has been declared in the country. Iran is responding with missile strikes against Israeli territory, as well as U.S. military installations in the Middle East.
