I Am Simply Amazed: Gagik Tsarukyan

Recently, the inaugural meeting of the Coordinating Council of the "Proposal for Armenia" project took place. This was announced by the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, on his Facebook page.

“Respectable individuals with significant biographies and a serious public standing from various sectors and generations gathered under one roof, where party affiliation held no significance. Prior to this meeting, I had numerous discussions with public, political, and social figures and representatives from various circles, resulting in the formation of a notable and solid Coordinating Council for the program.

Understanding that we are currently in the pre-election phase and the formation of electoral lists is an inevitable process, I want to start this phase with words of gratitude and appreciation because the overwhelming majority of our partners accepted the principle I published weeks ago—that the position is not important; the state is important; that the mandate is not important, but the results of the work are.

I am simply amazed that up to now, no one I have met has raised the issue of mandate or list placement. This speaks to both team and individual qualities; it speaks to the quality of the team. This is a guarantee of success, as we are forming a new quality of public cooperation, new rules of the game.

Many have initially stated that they do not aspire to any list or position; many have said, ‘as you see fit,’ because this is not just a program for one election and one day, but a program for the post-war recovery of Armenia. Together we will travel this path and confidently reach our goal of guaranteed peace and a prosperous Armenia,” Tsarukyan wrote.
