Spain Closes Airspace
Spain has prohibited the use of its airspace for aircraft engaged in military operations against Iran. This was reported by the magazine El Pais.
According to the publication, the restrictions include not only the ban on the use of the Rota (Cadiz) and Morón de la Frontera (Seville) military bases for fighter jets and refueling aircraft, but also extend to U.S. air assets stationed in other countries, specifically the United Kingdom or France.
The Spanish authorities noted that an exception may apply only in emergency situations; in such cases, both takeoffs and landings in the country will be permitted.
It is also mentioned that earlier, in early March, Madrid had already prohibited the U.S. from using its military bases for potential strikes against Iran.
