US Navy Deploys New Technology
The United States has, for the first time, utilized unmanned high-speed boats during military operations against Iran. This was reported by Reuters, referencing an official Pentagon statement.
According to the Department of Defense, the unmanned boats, named Global Autonomous Reconnaissance Craft (GARC), were involved in the 'Epic Fury' operation. They conducted missions lasting over 450 hours and traveled approximately 2,200 nautical miles.
These devices are designed for both reconnaissance and potential strike operations. Their use is considered a new phase in the deployment of unmanned maritime systems.
The Pentagon also emphasized that such technologies could expand the capabilities of the US Navy by ensuring continuous monitoring and operational response in the region.
