Armenians from Artsakh 'Did Not Fight,' Yet 'Unfought' Army Commander Serves in Armenian Armed Forces – Abrahamyan
If in 2023, amid the aggression from Azerbaijan, the Armenians from Artsakh did not fight, then how is it that the commander of the 'unfought' Defense Army continues to serve in the Armed Forces of Armenia after military operations? This was stated during a briefing by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the 'Honorary Duty' faction.
“This refers to the approach voiced by various representatives of the authorities, particularly by the leader of the ruling party, regarding the statement that the Armenians from Artsakh 'fled.' This can mean one of two things: either Nikol Pashinyan is lying and once again attempts to manipulate the field with disinformation, or he finds favorable the situation where individuals he considers to be 'fugitives' serve in the armed forces. I believe that in either case, the authorities cannot provide any justification,” he remarked.
Addressing the protests of parents who lost their children and the relatives of the missing, Abrahamyan emphasized that the main demand of the relatives and different figures and NGOs who met in Parliament is the public release of the report on the 44-day war. Following the end of the war, when the emotional background was quite high, authorities promised to respond via the report, clearly indicating those responsible for the war and providing definitive assessments of various military incidents.
“Now we have a situation where this report has been prepared, yet due to its legal situation, a rather contradictory and complex situation has arisen within the authorities, and currently, the report has been categorized as archived,” noted Tigran Abrahamyan, secretary of the 'Honorary Duty' faction.
