Parents of Fallen Soldiers File Complaint Against Nikol Pashinyan
Today, a complaint was filed with the Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, signed by the parents of soldiers who died in the 44-day war. Lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan informed reporters about this.
According to him, the basis of the complaint is Pashinyan's statement made the previous day in the National Assembly, in which he claimed that the authorities had opted for a "deliberate sacrifice" in 2020.
The lawyer asserted that this phrasing pertains to events that occurred during the 44-day war. He noted, "What were those sacrifices? About 5,000 fallen soldiers, tens of thousands of affected civilians, numerous missing persons, prisoners of war, forcibly displaced individuals, and ultimately, the loss of Artsakh."
He added that the complaint mentions two potential criminal charges: treason and crimes against humanity.
