Clarification on the Dismal Condition of a Street in Abovyan City

Yesterday, a listener sent a video to Auroranews showcasing the deplorable condition of one of the streets in Abovyan city. In response to our publication, the Abovyan municipality stated that this street does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Abovyan community and is not a community-owned road. The municipality also informed us that this street is named Kotayk Street.

Auroranews contacted the spokesperson of the Road Department, who commented: “A competition has been announced for the procurement of project preparation and cost estimation services for the capital repair of the local significance road section T-6-38, /H-1/ (Abovyan)-Nor Gyugh-Kotayk-Zar-Sevaberd from 0+000 km to 19+200 km. After the procurement process is completed, design work will be undertaken, and then the project will go through an examination, after which a construction tender for the specified section will be announced.”
