Samvel Karapetyan Permitted to Publish Video Address on Social Media

On March 18, 2026, Karapetyan's defense attorney, Aram Vardevanyan, submitted a request to allow for the distribution of a video address. According to the Investigation Committee, this request was considered in light of the upcoming electoral campaign where Karapetyan wishes to address citizens.

The message indicates that the authority to permit Karapetyan to conduct electoral outreach through social media rests with the investigative body serving as a public participant in the process. Consequently, the competent authority has decided to grant the request, allowing Karapetyan to share a video address on the Facebook platform within the context of presenting the political activities and programs of the 'Strong Armenia' party.
