Trump Talks Collaboration with Iranian Leadership
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the United States sees individuals in Iran's political leadership that it could collaborate with.
“However, there are some people who we think would be good. We’ll see,” he said in response to reporters' questions regarding the Iranian political leadership and the goals of U.S.-Israeli military operations against the Islamic Republic.
“We’re discussing it. We’ll see how events unfold,” the White House leader stated, without providing further details.
He also confirmed that he does not intend to announce a “victory” over Iran or the end of the campaign against it. “There’s no reason for that,” the American leader noted.
At the same time, he mentioned that the action would conclude quickly. “The prices of [oil and other goods] will drop sharply as soon as this ends. And it will end very soon,” the president declared, referring to the operation against Iran.
Simultaneously, the head of the Washington administration declined to clarify whether he plans to utilize U.S. ground forces for an invasion of Iran. “Why should I tell you whether I’m sending troops or not? I do not publicly discuss military strategy. Who would answer that question?” the president asserted.
