Heavy Rocket Attack on Israel's Ben Gurion Airport: IRGC
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has announced that it has launched rockets towards Israel's Ben Gurion Airport, located near Tel Aviv. According to IRGC reports, heavy rockets of the "Khoramshahr-4" type, equipped with warheads weighing about one ton, were utilized. The statement indicates that the airport and the Israeli Air Force units stationed there were targeted.
Earlier, Iranian military sources also reported drone strikes conducted against targets in Tel Aviv and a radar base in the Northern region of Israel, near Meron. The Iranian army later announced a drone strike had also been carried out against the U.S. "Camp Buring" military base located in Kuwait (formerly known as "Camp Udairi"). Meanwhile, The Times of Israel reports that there is no 27th squadron in the Israeli Air Force, and it is likely referring to the former 27th airbase operating in the airport area, which was closed in 2010.
