Elmira Karapetyan Wins Silver Medal at European Championships

In the women's solo event of the air pistol competition, Elmira Karapetyan overcame the qualifying and semifinal rounds, eventually competing in the finals against Veronica Mayor of Hungary, an Olympic bronze medalist. Karapetyan finished with a score of 12:15, settling for the silver medal.

“I am happy and excited. I am satisfied with the result. It was an interesting competition. The representative from Hungary shot very well. There was no tension, it was simply good competition. I am very happy and proud that we can host such a championship in Yerevan. The first time I entered the shooting range, I asked why we do not host international tournaments. Winning a medal in this competition was very important for me,” expressed Elmira Karapetyan.

Elmira Karapetyan has become a double silver medalist at the European Championships. She is also a silver medalist of the European Games and a two-time gold medalist in the World Cup series.
