For us, this is a victory: Zelensky

The failure of Russia to occupy Ukrainian territory and change the geopolitical course of the republic is a victory for Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with Fox News.

“Russia has not been able and will not be able to occupy us. They have not won. For us, this is a victory. We have defended our independence and freedom. We have succeeded. They have not changed our geopolitical course,” Zelensky said.

According to him, Russia has failed to replace the Ukrainian flag with their own. He called this a very important thing and stated that he is proud of it.

Earlier, Zelensky expressed a willingness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and emphasized the importance of pressure from the U.S. and Europe on Moscow to halt the conflict. To cease hostilities, Zelensky expressed a willingness to negotiate regarding Russia's territorial claims.
