Police Officers Dismissed from Service: Ministry of Internal Affairs

A regular meeting of the disciplinary commission of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has taken place.

After analyzing the factual circumstances, the MIA disciplinary commission decided to recommend to the officials in charge of conducting service investigations to apply the disciplinary penalty of "dismissal from the police" to four police officers, while one officer was released from disciplinary responsibility.

During the meeting, the materials and conclusions of the service investigation conducted against five police officers were examined and discussed. According to the ministry, the meeting was chaired by Ara Fidanian, the secretary general of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Present at the meeting were the acting head of the Community Police Department, the head of the internal security and anti-corruption department, the head of the strategic planning, policy development, and monitoring department, the chief lawyer of the Prime Minister's office legal department, as well as representatives of civic organizations included in the disciplinary commission.
