Iranian Parliament Member Appeals to the U.S.

An Iranian parliament member has called for the United States to withdraw its naval forces from the region. Esmail Kosarini, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, stated that the U.S. must remove its naval power from the area.

“Americans should return their aircraft carriers and warships to their territory,” his remarks were quoted by state media.

Kosarini criticized what he termed the contradictory statements by the U.S. regarding Iran's nuclear program. “On one hand, they claim that Iran's nuclear facilities have been destroyed, but on the other hand, they say that Iran can achieve its goals in a short time and must be stopped through military means,” he said, adding that such statements are “nonsense.”

The parliament member declared that Iran remains ready and warned that if the U.S. undertakes military operations, it will face retaliation.
