Increase in the Incidence of Acute Respiratory Infections Expected

According to the data from the RA Ministry of Health's Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, a decrease in air temperature is forecasted in the coming days. The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports that this drop in temperature is accompanied by a rise in the incidence of acute respiratory infections.

To avoid complications, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention urges the public to:

  • Dress appropriately for the weather,
  • Avoid contact with individuals exhibiting symptoms of acute respiratory infections,
  • If you are sick, stay at home, especially keep children with symptoms of acute respiratory infections from attending school and kindergarten, ensuring consultation and treatment from a doctor,
  • If unwell, call your local pediatrician, therapist, or family doctor, and do not self-medicate,
  • Do not use antibiotics, as they are not indicated for the treatment of flu and acute respiratory infections,
  • Follow cough and sneezing etiquette,
  • Frequently ventilate enclosed spaces,
  • Maintain personal hygiene.
