Victor Orban and Donald Tusk Clash Over Support for Ukraine

Victor Orban and Donald Tusk have clashed over the question of support for Ukraine. The Prime Ministers of Hungary and Poland engaged in a public debate on social media regarding European assistance to Ukraine.

Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on platform X that Victor Orban had "recently blocked Europe's aid to Ukraine," while the leader of the Polish Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, is attempting to obstruct the EU defense investment program, which includes funding for defense and Polish military industry. "Guess who is happy?" Tusk wrote.

In response, Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban publicly addressed Tusk. "Dear Donald Tusk, I am responsible for Hungary and Hungarians. If anyone harms them, I must defend them," emphasized the head of the Hungarian government.
