The export of Armenian-origin products was $2 billion in 2017 and is projected to reach $4.46 billion by 2025. This marks an increase of more than 2.2 times. This was announced by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan.
“This figure does not include re-exports or gold. Productivity (per person/hour) was $5.6 in 2017 and is expected to rise to $11.3 in 2025, indicating an increase of more than 2 times. This growth would not have been possible without our productivity enhancement programs, which together total approximately $1.5 billion. This means that our businesses have acquired the latest equipment worth $1.5 billion, and the government covers either all or most of the interest on their loans/leasing,” he noted.
