Georgian Foreign Minister Comments on Armenia-Azerbaijan Routes
The Georgian Foreign Minister has addressed the discussions regarding the construction of new routes between Azerbaijan and Armenia, noting that these initiatives could have a positive impact on regional connectivity.
According to him, this process contributes to the development of regional communications. The minister emphasized that Tbilisi does not view the potential new routes as competitors to the roads passing through Georgian territory.
He mentioned that regardless of the emergence of new directions, Georgia continues to maintain its strategic significance on the global geopolitical map.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister stated that some political figures are attempting to exploit Armenian-Azerbaijani relations to diminish Georgia's strategic role in the region. In his assessment, regional cooperation should be viewed in a complementary manner, rather than as a competitive framework.
