The Value of 'Armenian Electric Networks' Company Approaches Nearly 1 Billion USD, Ghazinyan
The value of the 'Armenian Electric Networks' company amounts to nearly 1 billion USD. This was announced by David Ghazinyan, the former acting director of the 'Armenian Electric Networks' CJSC, during a meeting with journalists.
He added that the chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) has been repeatedly urged to present the reality. As David Ghazinyan recalled, the chairman admitted that the owner pays the interest on the loans taken by the 'Armenian Electric Networks' company, and these have no connection to electricity tariffs.
The authorities have become advocates for 'Veolia Water' company, stating that their network is poor, that many subscribers are joining them, and directly declaring that the Government has not fulfilled its obligations. If the Government has been unable to meet its obligations regarding 'Veolia Water' company, who says that the Government will be able to fulfill its obligations concerning the 'Armenian Electric Networks' company?” he concluded.
