Stepantsminda-Lars Highway Closed to All Types of Vehicles

The rescue service reports that the highways in the Republic of Armenia are mainly passable.

However, the roads leading from the "Amberd" highland meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and the Kari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for vehicles with trailers.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to all types of vehicles.
