Garabed II Refuses to Testify
His Holiness Garabed II, the Catholicos of All Armenians, has refused to testify, exercising his right during a meeting with investigators. This was reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd'.
It is noteworthy that on February 14, lawyer Ara Zohrapyan announced that the Prosecutor's Office of Armenia has initiated criminal proceedings against His Holiness Garabed II, and his exit from the country has been prohibited.
Furthermore, criminal proceedings have been started against Archbishop Natan Hovhannisyan, Bishop Hovnan Hakobyan, Bishop Makary Hakobyan, Bishop Mushegh Babayan, Archbishop Haikazun Najaryan, Bishop Vahan Hovhannisyan, and Priest Movses Sahakyan, who are accused of obstructing the execution of a court act related to the dismissed leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church's Masyatsotn Diocese, Bishop Gevorg Saroyan.
