Video: YouTube Monetization to Activate in Armenia by Late April, Minister Says

The Armenian Government, particularly the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been negotiating with Google and YouTube for a long time to activate the YouTube partnership program. This was stated by High-Tech Industry Minister Hakob Hakobyan during a press conference.

“During U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance's visit to Yerevan, YouTube announced that monetization would be activated in spring. In any case, in verbal discussions with us, it was mentioned that it is most likely to be activated by late April or early May,” he said.

Previously, the Minister of High-Tech Industry had issued a statement on this matter, noting that this is an important step towards strengthening Armenia's digital economy and promoting the global visibility of Armenian content, culture, and innovation.
