Europe is increasingly conceding its positions: BZ
The Munich conference demonstrated that Europe has remained on the sidelines of global politics. This was reported by the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.
The Munich Security Conference showed that Europe is progressively losing its positions in the realm of foreign policy, while Russia is shaping a new world order in cooperation with Eastern powers. “What was discussed from February 13 to 15 at the Bayerischer Hof hotel was nothing less than the burial of the global order. However, while China, the USA, and Russia enter a new era with clear visions, Europe stands on the edge, like a wounded audience, unable to understand that the caravan has long departed,” the article states.
The publication notes that the plans of Western politicians to isolate Russia have failed and only strengthened its positions in the East. “Moscow has learned from the Ukrainian crisis, just not the lesson the West hoped for. Instead of international isolation, Russia is seeking ties with the rising powers of the East,” the article highlights.
