If No Agreement is Reached, Electric Networks of Armenia May Be Recognized as a Superior Public Interest: Mesropyan
The Electric Networks of Armenia could be recognized as a superior public interest if an agreement is not reached between the state and the owner. This was stated by the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, Mesrop Mesropyan, during a meeting with journalists.
He clarified that after revoking the company's license, the state must initiate negotiations within three months, offer a specific sum to the owner, and attempt to repurchase it. According to him, this three-month period has not yet expired.
Mesropyan suggested that relevant state authorities will soon provide clarifications on the matter. He concluded, "If an agreement is not reached within that timeframe, the alienation of company shares and assets will continue through recognition as a superior public interest."
