According to DW, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, has admitted that member states are still not ready to give Ukraine a specific date for its accession. Moving forward to demonstrate that "Ukraine is part of Europe" remains a priority and an urgent necessity, Kaja Kallas stated.

The high-ranking EU diplomat emphasized, "There is an urgent need to restore European sovereignty," adding that European security "begins in Ukraine."
