We Have Zero Reports: Minister of Internal Affairs on Drug Use in Schools
As of 2025, six cases of drug use among minors have been identified. This was announced during a press conference by Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, who noted that reports of mass drug use among minors do not correspond to the reality.
"This number could practically be ten instead of six, but it certainly cannot be such a massive change in the picture that we say, ‘yes, drug use is rampant among minors,’ while we only have six cases," said the Minister.
The Minister pointed out that despite many discussions last year about drugs being 'rampant' in schools, the statistical data tells a different story. "We have implemented a tactical change and studied posts related to this on the internet. We have consistently followed up every report, requesting the authors of these posts to provide information about which school they are referring to. As a result, we have zero reports and zero data transfer in the context of these posts," Arpine Sargsyan added.
According to her, people are continuously discussing the same topics out of inertia, not realizing that they are attempting to label a generation that is entirely unrelated to that labeling.
