Russia Wants to Appear as a Powerful Bear but Moves at the Speed of a Snail: Ryuete
The Munich Security Conference has commenced, where NATO Secretary General Mark Ryuete addressed a separate session regarding issues of Ukraine and European security.
During his speech, Ryuete criticized Russia's actions, stating that Moscow seeks to present itself as a strong player, yet the effectiveness of its actions does not align with that image. According to him, Russia's trajectory does not reflect the influence the country aspires to.
"The Russians want to resemble a powerful bear, but they are moving at the speed of a snail," he said.
The session was organized outside the main program and gathered around a thousand delegates. Discussion topics included the developments in Ukraine, the situation around Iran, and Europe's defense capabilities.
The Munich Security Conference will continue until Sunday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also arrived in Germany to participate in the event.
