Papuaashvili Criticizes German Foreign Ministry
The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuaashvili, has criticized the German Foreign Ministry for not updating the information about Georgia on its official website. He made this statement during a broadcast on the Imedi television channel, presenting documents taken from the relevant pages.
According to Papuaashvili, data about Georgia on the ministry's website has not been updated since 2024. The webpage still lists the country's President as Salome Zourabichvili and the Foreign Minister as Ilia Darchiashvili.
The Speaker raised the question of whether this could be attributed to a technical oversight. He claimed that, on the same site, information about Russia was updated in the autumn of 2025, and details regarding that country are reviewed periodically, approximately every six months.
Papuaashvili described this approach as “improper behavior” by the German official institution, emphasizing that the selective updating of data raises questions.
