The West is Trying to Strengthen Its Influence in the South Caucasus: CSTO

Western countries are attempting to expand their influence in the South Caucasus. This was stated by Andrey Serdyukov, the head of the CSTO Joint Staff.

According to him, the situation in the Caucasus region remains concerning. Serdyukov noted that there are both long-standing unresolved conflicts and new geopolitical challenges affecting overall stability.

During a briefing, he emphasized that the growing regional tensions are also fueled by the West's efforts to strengthen its positions in the South Caucasus.

Serdyukov added that under the current circumstances, it is essential to continue joint efforts to maintain the security environment.
