Students Assault 13-Year-Old in Jrashen, Faculty Conceals Event, Ministry of Internal Affairs Reports

On February 11, around 12 PM, the police's operational management center in the Lori region received a report that an ambulance had transported a 13-year-old boy with bodily injuries to the Spitak Medical Center from the village of Jrashen. The mother stated that her son was assaulted by a classmate at Jrashen Secondary School.

Community police officers from the Spitak division, through their investigative actions, determined that the injured boy was beaten by three classmates during a dispute that occurred in the classroom, while the school's faculty concealed the reality of the situation.

On behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs, a motion regarding the incident will be submitted to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport. The minors who assaulted the classmate have been presented to the preliminary investigation body along with the compiled documents.

A criminal case has been initiated on charges of causing medium severity harm to health and failure to properly fulfill the obligations of a child's upbringing or care. An investigation is underway.
