Conditions Could Be Created for a Successful US-Iran Agreement, Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed confidence that conditions could be created for a successful US-Iran agreement. He made this statement before departing for Washington, where he had met with US President Donald Trump the previous day.

“A number of issues were discussed, but the meeting was mainly focused on negotiations with Iran. I believe that the conditions created by Trump can create opportunities to reach a good agreement with Tehran,” said Netanyahu.

Netanyahu noted that during his meeting with Trump, he “expressed general doubts about the nature of any agreement with Iran,” but also stated that if an agreement is indeed reached, it must include elements that are extremely important for Israel.

“It is not just about the nuclear program. It also includes ballistic missiles and Iranian proxies in the region. The Israeli Prime Minister added that the conversation also touched upon Gaza and the entire region.”
