You Cannot Abandon the Recognition of Genocide: Narek Karapetyan
Narek Karapetyan wrote on Facebook: “Do you know what is humiliating? The Vice President of the United States goes to Tsitsernakaberd, and none of the proudly speaking officials of Armenia dares to accompany him, as they fear not to please the Turks.
That the U.S. Vice President was asked to delete his mention of the Genocide, despite the fact that the politician himself wanted to visit Tsitsernakaberd.
The Speaker of Congress, Pelosi, whom we received in the same way as Vensy, said that the deletion of the mention is 'Deeply disappointing.' We demand from Pashinyan: our national dignity is not for sale. The twisted fates of millions of victims are not a political game to maintain your power. You cannot abandon the recognition of genocide. If you cannot bring benefits, at least do not harm; a strong leader will come and correct what you have spoiled.”
Along with the post, Narek Karapetyan shared a photo of Tsitsernakaberd.
