Pashinyan to Visit Tehran; Strategic Document Signing Expected
Armenia and Iran are set to sign a comprehensive strategic cooperation document during Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Tehran in 2026. This announcement was made by Iran's ambassador to Armenia, Khalil Shirogloami, during a reception dedicated to the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
He stated that both parties intend to institutionalize their partnership and significantly expand collaboration based on an operational roadmap. He emphasized that the relations between the countries have a millennia-long history and have now reached a maturity stage, where mutual trust between leaders is their greatest asset.
The ambassador also highlighted the importance of unblocking regional communications and developing transit potential, underlining that peace and friendly relations are the keys to stability in the South Caucasus.
