Peskov Makes Several Statements

The Kremlin has confirmed that communications between Russia and France have been restored at a technical level. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, while responding to questions from journalists.

According to him, at this stage, Moscow does not yet see clear signals from Paris regarding a willingness to initiate high-level political dialogue. At the same time, the Kremlin has paid attention to statements made by French President Emmanuel Macron, highlighting the necessity of regulating relations with Russia.

Peskov noted that such approaches are perceived positively and align with Moscow's position, but their practical continuation is not yet visible.

He also reported that there are currently no clear agreements or timelines for possible subsequent negotiations between representatives of Russia, Ukraine, and the USA. Discussions are ongoing at various levels, but concrete decisions have yet to be made.

Additionally, the Kremlin responded to the statement by Turkey's foreign minister regarding potential participation in the nuclear arms race. The press secretary emphasized that the existing non-proliferation regime for nuclear weapons is a fundamental element of international security, and all nuclear states are obliged to display responsible behavior to rule out such an arms race.
