Emergency Week in Armenia: 5 Dead, 78 Injured, and 530 Cases
From February 2 to 8, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations registered a total of 530 cases, of which 145 were classified as emergencies. Specifically, these included 42 fires, 13 collapses, 5 landslides, 1 accident in communal life support systems, 1 case of strong winds, 2 snowdrifts, 22 cases of black ice, 5 false alarms, 17 suicide attempts, 10 incidents of poisoning, 7 discoveries of ammunition, 42 road traffic accidents, as well as 159 household calls, 37 threats of fire origin, 10 false fire alarms, and 157 other cases.
Due to weather conditions and other factors, there were 128 cases of vehicle blockages reported. Rescuers provided assistance to 176 citizens and relocated 148 vehicles that were blocked on the roads to safe areas. During the past week, 78 people were injured, and 5 lost their lives. As a result of rescue operations, 1 individual was saved.
