Criminal Case May Be Initiated Against Semyon Slepakov
A criminal case may be initiated against comedian Semyon Slepakov for failing to declare his status as a foreign agent.
Russian law enforcement agencies are considering opening a criminal case against comedian Semyon Slepakov, who has been designated as a foreign agent. Over the past year, the comedian has faced administrative penalties twice for violating the requirements of the foreign agent law but has made no significant changes in his behavior. Since October 2025, he has continued to post on social media without acknowledging his status.
Materials from the investigation have been sent to the investigative bodies, which will make a decision regarding the initiation of a criminal case.
