Cases of Organizing Dog Fighting Revealed: Ministry of Internal Affairs

On February 5, the officers of the Community Police Department of Tashir received operational information regarding cruel treatment of animals. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"It was revealed that in the summer of 2025, two young men—aged 17 from the village of Privolnoye and 18 from the village of Medovka—organized dog fighting in a field adjacent to Privolnoye, resulting in dogs sustaining varying degrees of injuries. In another case during the winter of 2025, two men—aged 42 from the same village and 53 from the city of Tashir—organized dog fighting in a field near the Medovka community, while an 18-year-old resident of Medovka filmed it and posted it on his social media page. Again, the dogs suffered various injuries," the statement read.

Documents regarding both cases have been submitted to the investigative body. It is worth noting that cruel treatment of animals, including organizing or conducting fights among animals, is a criminally punishable act.
