Approval Granted for Export of Powerful Chips to Armenia: Vens

Approval has been granted for the export of another batch of powerful chips produced by NVIDIA to Armenia. This was stated by U.S. Vice President Jay Dee Vens during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“I hope that the close and transparent cooperation formed between Armenia and the United States in the high-tech sector will allow us to further develop and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between companies in Armenia and the U.S.,” Vens noted.

It became clear back in November 2025 that Firebird, a startup developing artificial intelligence technologies, had received U.S. government approval for the export of NVIDIA chips to Armenia. Notably, Firebird has obtained a U.S. export license and announced a technological partnership with Dell Technologies, reinforcing Armenia's position in the field of artificial intelligence and digital development.

The company issued an official statement indicating that the implementation of the project has been made possible thanks to the support of the Armenian government, under the personal leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the support of U.S. President Donald Trump, and the involvement of other stakeholders.

The statement also mentions that a U.S.-based company specializing in artificial intelligence cloud and infrastructure technologies is announcing its first $500 million investment in Armenia.
