Suspect Arrested for Attempted Assassination of Russian General

Law enforcement agencies have arrested a suspect in the attack on Vladimir Alexeev, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported by Kommersant, citing its sources.

According to the publication, the suspect has already been taken in for questioning, and an indictment is expected to be filed. A court hearing regarding the measure of restraint may take place in the near future.

Additionally, several Telegram channels report that the alleged offender was transported from Dubai. The same source indicates that a possible accomplice was also arrested alongside him. There has been no official confirmation of this information so far.

Earlier reports indicated that a failed assassination attempt had been made against Lieutenant General Vladimir Alexeev in Moscow. Following the incident, he was hospitalized.
