Man Threatening to Kill VP Vance Arrested in the U.S.

A 33-year-old man, Shannon Matren from Toledo, Ohio, has been arrested in the U.S. for threatening to kill Vice President Jay D. Vance. This was reported by Reuters, citing the U.S. Department of Justice.

According to the department, Matren made the threat during a regional visit of the Vice President in January. The indictment states that he declared, “I will find out where he will be, and I will use my automatic M14 rifle to kill him.”

During the investigation, authorities also discovered files in Matren's possession containing materials related to sexual violence against children. This development has expanded the list of charges against him.
