France Urges Iran to Change Its Policy, Says Foreign Minister

France has called on Iran to halt its actions, which Paris assesses contribute to the destabilization of the region. This was stated by France's Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, addressing Iran's political stance in the Middle East.

The French Foreign Minister noted that the actions of the Islamic Republic pose a threat not only to the countries of the region but also to the security and stability of Europe. According to him, Iran's pursued policies continue to exacerbate tensions in international relations.

Barrot emphasized that the current situation necessitates a reassessment of approaches by Tehran. He stated that without a change in political course, achieving long-term stability in the region is unattainable.

The head of France's foreign policy department added that in collaboration with international partners, Paris will continue to monitor Iran's actions and their impact on the overall security environment.
