China Plans to Build Space Aircraft
Chinese state media has introduced the concept of a space aircraft named "Luan Niao," which, according to the published materials, is designed for the launch of hypersonic missiles and drones. The device is described as a multifunctional platform capable of operating in the upper layers of the atmosphere and at high altitudes near space.
According to the concept, the aircraft will have a futuristic design and will move at extremely high speeds. It is noted that up to 88 unmanned aerial vehicles can be deployed on the "Luan Niao," which are intended for various military tasks.
At the same time, the feasibility of the project is questioned by several experts. In comments to the British press, military analyst Peter Layton noted that the necessary technologies for creating such a system do not currently exist. Experts believe that the publication of such concepts may be aimed at a domestic audience to showcase China’s long-term military-technical aspirations, but they are not yet considered practically confirmed programs.
