Araghchian's Call for Sanctions Against Israel

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that Israel’s bestowed "impunity" has weakened the international legal system. He argued that this approach has contributed to violations of legal norms and created serious problems in international relations.

Araghchi emphasized that Israel's expansionist policies negatively impact the stability of the Middle East. During the interview, the Iranian Foreign Minister noted that the international community must take concrete actions in response to the current situation.

In this context, he discussed the necessity of implementing military and trade restrictions against Israel, highlighting that without practical measures, it is impossible to change the existing circumstances. Araghchi added that such actions, in his view, could contribute to the restoration of international law's role and the resolution of regional processes within international frameworks.
